This site contains photos of orchids which I have bloomed in my modest little greenhouse. The site is primarily for the benefit of friends and relatives but guests are welcome. This site is intended neither as a scholarly treatise on orchids nor a display of professional photographic skill. I'm far too lazy to contend in either field of endeavor.
The photo pages have the plants grouped according to genus, sub-family, or geographic habitat, as appropriate to sort out the pictures. I realize the names will mean little to someone who is not an orchid enthusiast but bear with me...............I couldn't put all the pictures on one page.

I have a small unprepossessing greenhouse, being of meager financial means and limited enthusiasm but I manage to bloom enough orchids to entertain myself. It measures 8 feet by 10 feet by 7 feet high. These are pictures of the it when I first erected it some years back. |
| This is a view from inside the greenhouse. These pictures bear little resemblance to what it looks like today. The problem is that it is so full of plants today that photography is impossible. An extra set of lower shelves have been installed. An automatic misting system has pipes running throughout. Orchids in baskets hang from every pipe and every support and movement is extremely limited. In addition, the fecund climate developed within it has spurred the growth of many strange green living organisms that coat every interior surface. Nothing grows in a clean greenhouse. | ![]() |
